Hi,

I download some software and it added a seachbar etc to my IE browser. I seems to keep changing my default home page and I would like to get rid of it and the searchbar.

What process is the best?.

I can see various entries in the registry but I want to be able to remove it cleanly.

thanks
Mike

Run through the steps found here faq608-4650 ... paying special attention to SpyBot and ToolbarCop.
Good luck.

Try adaware or spybot search and destroy.
They worked for me!

many thanks !!.

Toolbarcop worked but it still keeps altering my homepage.
Will look at spybot

If you're running XP, you must disable system restore before using removal tools, else you'll be caught in a circle. This is addressed in the faq posted above.
