Removable HDD trays & SATA question?

After much difficulty in picking a DtD backup system, I have decided to go with mirroring to HDDs in removable drive trays.

I have been looking around for a supplier of quality single drive, SATA, internal, removable drive trays, and the choice seems limited. The only manufacturer that seems to fit the bill is Storcase with its DE110 range. Can anyone suggest any alternatives (both high-rely & Accordance products are nice, but nither of them can give an internal, RAID free drive)?

On the same subject, I was planning to use WD Raptor drives - quite simply for their performance. Do you think that the performance of this drive would be significantly better that a run-of-the-mill ATA drive (I will be mirroring about 20Gb of mixed data to the drive)?

I will be looking at 6>8 drives, and question wheather the premium price of the Raptor would be justified in this situation?

Thanks
