Remounting data store almost daily...why & how to fix? 1

Searching for a reason why suddenly in the last week or so we have had to remount the Exchange data store almost daily. What might cause this & any suggestions for a good way to resolve the problem?

Definitely need to post the problems reported in the event log to help us get to the bottom of the problem.

Agreed, without seeing the logs it's anyone's guess. My first hunch is free disk space, but who knows.

Thanks for replying.

Took a better look at the event log based on the suggestion the problem might be disk space and found a warning event:

Exchange store 'First Sotrage Group/Mailbox Store [EX]: The current physical size of this database [the .edb file and the .stm file] is 19 GB. This database has exceeded the size limit...'

Will do an offline defrag and see what happens.

Any other suggestions?

You need to extend the max database size past the default 18GB limit.

I wouldn't recommend an offline defrag unless the 1221 event log entries indicate your white space is > 30% of your database size.

Just change the reg entry and it will stop this problem.
