Merlin system with 8 co lines - set up as key system. I am looking to setup an incoming line(line 8) to cover directly to Intuity voicemail, so that remote salesmem can retrieve their messages from their mailboxes while in the field. If they currently come into the main number, they receive the auto-attendant, and they are unable to log into their mailbox. This is a new install, so this has not worked before. Onsite users dial 770 to retriev their messages. The extension range is configured as 7xxx along with the mailboxes. Any help would be appreciated.

Assign line 8 to calling group 770 under lines/pools. Your other option would be to renumber 770 to a 4 digit number ie 7000 then add extension number as subscriber in intuity. Now you can transfer to the voicemail calling group from the main autoattendant.

It looks as though I may need to renumber the 770(hunt group). I am not familiar with the Merlin, is it possible to add another calling group with a 4-digit extension?
or point an additional 4 digit extension(ex. 7200) which covers to 770? This would allow a person to hit the auto-attendant and transfer to the Merlin extension 7200, roll to audix coverage, then receive miss Intuity "welcome to audix, please enter your extension followed by the pound sing". If this is possible please advis.
Thanks.

You can give them a remote login option from the main greeting by assigning a digit as mailbox login. What version of Intuity are you running?

I cannot get back into this machine remotely. They removed the business line, and we have not been able to get back to assign an extension number to the modem. I believe it is early v4.x. It has been in storage for quite a long time, so it is not up to v5.x yet.
I have not heard of the remote login?
Can you elaborate?

Thanks.

You can define a digit on the main greeting to allow voice mail access. On the older Merlin Mails it was a *7. On the Intuity you can define it under the day and night menus.
