I'm new to BCM (but have been in Telco for many many years)...

I would like call in remotely and change where my call forwarding is going. I have a small help desk that also provides tier 2 support so they generally don't have to remain at their desks. Just that if they leave, they forward the calls to their cells. I know F823-1 will turn forwarding off/on... but right now that just turns off/on to go to the v/m.

I'm sorry if this is such an easy thing to do, but I've been unable to find it in BCM/Call Pilot.

Feature 4, followed by code dialled for external line, followed by destination number.

TO REMOVE feature #4

IF IT COMES UP WITH iNVALID NUMBER WHEN YOU PRESS THE LINE ACCESS CODE, YOU WILL NEED TO ENABLE EXTERNAL DIVERT

Sorry,

just read your post correctly. When you dial in remotely, under the specific DN, Capabilities, Call forward option, set number in All calls area

Thanks option11newby,

Actually, I think you were on the right track with your first post (however, the second one will work if I have to do it that way). And at the station, we already utilize F4 and it works fine. Very dumb question coming... how do I utilize F4 from offsite?

You don't unfortunately. BUT what you can do is this:

Set up your mailbox for OutDialing. IE "You've reached Melissa, press 7 now to be transferred to my cell phone". Then when that number changes, you can call in remotely, access your mailbox and change the outdial number.

I'll check and see if there's any other way to do it.......
