Remotely determine whehter RAD is installed?

Hello all,

As you may be aware I inherited a number of Partner systems. I need to determine remotely, without sending a technician out, whether the system has a RAD card and/or a backup/restore card installed. Any features I can use?

I know I can transfer to x76, if switch configured correctly, and get tone to check for RAD. (Doubtful any of them are configured though) I have read a number of excellant posts out here about remote admin, which made a ton more sense than the manual! Thanks you guys.

Transferring to Ext. 76 will get you modem tone of the Remote Access card is in place, whether if is configured properly or not. You can have a user on site press Feature 59 to tell you over the phone what the software release is. You can have them try a manual backup over the phone to determine if the backup card is in the slot. Have them do #730 and tell you if there is a password entered, and if not, walk them through inputting one. Also have them put Ext. 76 in Hunt Group 6 so you can transfer from a VS Mail or Card Mail. If you have Partner Messaging, create a Transfer Only extension for Ext. 76.
