Hello all,

As you may be aware I inherited a number of Partner systems. I need to determine remotely, without sending a technician out, whether the system has a RAD card and/or a backup/restore card installed. Any features I can use?

I know I can transfer to x76, if switch configured correctly, and get tone to check for RAD. (Doubtful any of them are configured though) I have read a number of excellant posts out here about remote admin, which made a ton more sense than the manual! Thanks you guys.[2thumbsup]

Transferring to Ext. 76 will get you modem tone of the Remote Access card is in place, whether if is configured properly or not. You can have a user on site press Feature 59 to tell you over the phone what the software release is. You can have them try a manual backup over the phone to determine if the backup card is in the slot. Have them do #730 and tell you if there is a password entered, and if not, walk them through inputting one. Also have them put Ext. 76 in Hunt Group 6 so you can transfer from a VS Mail or Card Mail. If you have Partner Messaging, create a Transfer Only extension for Ext. 76.

Triple T,
As always you are a wealth of information! Thanks much, dude.
