Remotely configure DNS server address on clients

We are in the process of upgrading our NT4 network (using WINS for name resolution and static IP addresses) to Windows 2000 with AD. I've configured the DNS server, but need to set it's IP address on each of the clients and we have over 1500 of them. Can this be done remotely? We have SMS if this can be used.
