I'm new to vpn and would like to know the following situation.

If using netscreen-remote vpn diapup connecting through netscreen 25 firewall to windows domain network, can I make the remote user to logon the windows domain network. Like local lan users in the company, they will have the mapping network drive to local servers resources. So that a remote
mobile user can obtain the department SHARE <folder> files from anywhere.

Is my concept wrong. Pls advise. Thanks much.

Eddy this is a little complicated to achieve and depends exactly how you want your users to log in.
If you mean that you wish your users to do a domain login over a vpn tunnel, then this is achievable but not entirely straightforward.

If you mean that you wish to authenticate your users and then upon authentication using active directory allow the users access to the lan, you can do this much easier.

If you require users to be able to map a windows share name then you will need to utilitse WINS and to get this working you will need to create a DIP pool for the dialup users so that you can use the remote client virtual adapter to resolve the names.

Hope this points you in the right direction.
