I am getting very good with programming with the set. But I would like to try this RAD programming mode. Can anyone point me in the correct direction. How can I get this software? how many versions are there? ect....

Thanks for everything.

I am looking for a copy also. I will let you know when one comes up. The software is NRU 8.0 or 9.0
You can purchase from a distributor for about $750

9.1 is the most recent version for 6.0 software support.

9.0 can be downloaded from quick-manuals.com for $25. They may even have 9.1 now, I haven't checked.

It's freely downloadable by certified Norstar resellers from the nortelnetworks web site, so I'm not sure why anyone would need to charge $750 for it. I could probably be pursuaded to send someone a copy if they sent me a blank CD and prepaid mailer..

Those are only manuals from quick-manuals so dont waste your money.

They charge $750.00 because just like Windows or any other software you must pay for it otherwise it is software piracy.

Those of us who have access to the downloads on Nortel site should now that it is only for your company use since you are a dealer.

Actually, the quick-manuals.com site offers the real software for immediate download _not_ just manuals as curlycord suggests without checking for himself.

Personally, I think it is unethical to sell remote software for as much $$ as a small phone system costs. Nortel already has the worst black market problem in the telecom business by far. Our Nortel rep says Nortel cares about their resellers and wants to fix this, yet they let the big dealers in Canada and Mexico sell stuff out the back door for less then places like Westcon, Techdata, etc are able to sell to legit resellers like myself. Until Nortel gets their distribution under control I have little concern for giving customers and technicians proper software to work on their systems with.

BTW, the software doesn't even come with a EULA or any kind of agreement for you to accept when installing it so I have no idea why curlycord would suggest it is only for Norstar reseller use. Certainly I have no agreement with Nortel that says I cant share this software with whomever I like.

Well as it turns out I am wrong....even though it is a manual website it does have NRU but fails to mention that it is software and not a manual.

There are many things in life that are unethical but when they have rules they should be followed in order to protect yourself.

It's unfortunate that you have little concern for giving customers and others the software as it is piracy and should not be discussed on this board as in rule #4.

You mention that the software does not come with an agreement of any kind which is a false statement on your behalf. You accepted the terms and agreement as stated below as soon as you downloaded any software from the Nortel website.
