Has anyone used either a remote Meridian cab. connected using Dark Fibre or with the Remote 9150 ? with Symposium with remote users.

9150 -I understand every call to an agent dials up the remote users via ISDN Lines- does it work ok, is there any delay with the dail up and calsl being offered to the remote agent?

Remote cab using Dark Fibre - any issues

thanks

We are currently using the RLC-9150 solution, We have a single site live at present with 150+ users and are in the process of rolling out to another 6 european sites in the next 6 months.

Also we have not implemented the ISDN path, We have gone for the G729 IP connectivity, Works ok.

Jay,

Thanks for the reposne, was there a reason why you chose IP and not the ISDN version or is it just because of the data network you have?

wayne

We choose IP because we have deployed a fully centralised operation for a client, All the servers reside in 1 local and then users access the Client/Server app over the WAN which is split Voice / Data MPLS.

We've had remotes users on a fiber cabinet on Symposium and on IP phones over VPN with no issues. Symposium doesn't see those phonesets any differently from those connected directly to the PBX.
