Hi all,

I haven't actually been able to witness this problem first hand so I'm basing it on what the user has told me. The remote user is using a WinTerm thru an ADSL connection to our Citrix 1.8 MF server. The user then claims to answer the phone and returns back to her computer to continue working. Upon returning she moves the mouse to click something but she finds that her screen restarts and she must log in again. At first I thought she was just timing out because she wasn't giving me a time frame. But I know her calls are not taking more then 2 hours (current timeout set) and are probably closer to 1-2 minutes.

Is there some way that Citrix or the client can be configured to hold the session open longer? Or perhaps be more tolerant of interuptions instead of just disconnecting?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I wonder if this is actually a problem with her ADSL connection? Sometimes, when another device is answered, it can interrupt the ADSL connection temporarily.

with normal use (ie browsing/email) any interruption would likely go unnoticed. With a Citrix connection though, the interruption would actually cause the session to disconnect.

My advice would be to:

* Get her to connect and then walk away for 5-10 minutes (but NOT using the phone!) and see if the problem still occurs
* Get her to have her link all checked out - you could perhaps do another 'connection based' test like set up some streaming audio and then use the phone - see if it stops
