Remote transaction coordinator for MS DTC causing problems

I have designated a remote system (the DTC on the web server) as the default transaction coordinator for the Distributed Transaction Coordinator on the database server.

Since doing this I can no longer even access My Computer in the Component Services window of the database server and can therefore not change it back to designate the local system as the default.

Do I have any options other than reinstalling MS DTC on the database server? If I have to reinstall, is it a risky option?
