We are having an issue with remote SIP phones sending the correct caller-ID for 911 calls. We are running SM & CM 6.3. Remote SIP phones register thru an SBC to SM. 911 calls route thru an ISDN PRI trunk-group in CM with public unknown numbering tables and a specific trunk group programmed to send out DIDs to each office location. Digital and H.323 phones send out the correct caller-ID but remote SIP endpoints show only the extension number not the 10 ten digit number on call traces. Because the extension number is sent the trunk-group defaults to the circuit BTN and not the 911 DID. I have checked the public and private numbering tables and they look OK.

Is the subnet for VPN defined in the network map?

That's where you say 192.168.1.x sends 555-555-1234.

Public table is for regular calls. Crisis calls depend on ELE - Emergency location extension. It can be set per-station - which is bad if they are half in the office half outside the office, or per subnet in the network map.

I hope you have a DID for "people on VPN who really aren't at 123 Main St" to send to the fuzz.
