Hi,
This is probably a very simple question......
We are using WebSphere 4.0.5 and IBM HTTP Server on the same box to serve out JD Edwards OneWorld. We use Named Virtual Hosts so all the pathcodes are accessed on port 80, but via a different name. It all works fine.
The intention is to put a remote web server in the DMZ running just the IBM HTTP Server to handle Internet traffic and throw it at the existing WAS.
The question is:
How do you set up the Virtual Host entries in the httpd.conf on the remote web server? I need to specify a document root and document security, but these directories reside on the WAS machine and not the remote Web Server. When I copy the httpd.conf entries from the operational Web Server into the remote Web Server, I cannot start the services because it cannot find the required directories.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
