Hi

Can anyone tell me exactly what i need to access the switch remotely, ie: software package etc?

Many thanks

Joe

You need a MODU in the GDK-186, and some programming.
At your remote center you need an analog modem and a PC that can rum the GDK ADMIN program.
It is bes to use the newest s/w for the GDk-186. like:
GS86P-E.5GZ.
The build-in modem (MODU) is a daughter board for the
MBU. the MODU is to be installed on connector: CONN5 (CN5).
The station number is per default the last number in the PBX.The MODU runs 2400 baud, 8 data bits, no paritet, 1 stop bit.

Thanks doktor any ideas where i can pick up the software?

Many thanks again

Joe

The last number on the GDK-186 will be ext# 285.
the maximum number of stations/extensions is 186 (from 100 to 285). The trick is to make an ISDN/DDI number point to ext# 285 by means of PGM05, or through an analog line in PGM32.

What Windows operating system do you use?

I had the same kind of problem on XP pro, and found my old Windows 2000 laptop. On this PC the GDK admin worked OK, and now I just that PC for remote servicing of GDK's.
