Greeting,

I am having a problem with setting up remote printing on my network. Here is the problem.

I used the SCO admin GUI to set up a local printer on machine #3 and enabled it to accept remote printing. When I go to machine #1 and #2 to set up a remote printer in the GUI I am able to select the host machine but I never get the printer that is configured to it.

I get this error message

"Failed to retrieve list of local printers and their descriptions.
Machine #3 failed to connect to machine #3.
Please check the following:
* your network configuration
* your network connection
* rhost permissions on the remote site.
* that SCOadmin is installed at the remote site
Failure with connection to server.
Remote child on machine "machine#1 has terminated.
The child program /etc/sysadmin.d/bin/osaserver has termentated.
Server process exited with exit (1).
Error with server process: Permission denied."

Well, I know the printer is working on machine #3 but for some reason I can not see it remotely on the other two machines.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

rlpconf from the command line should allow you to set up the printer correctly.
Failing that edit /etc/printcap on the remote machines to include the remote printer. ***************************************
Party on, dudes!
