HELLO IM TRYING TO CONNECT REMOTELY TO A MERIDIAN 1 11C. MY MODEM IS CONNECTED TO TTY1. I DIAL AND THE MODEM CONNECTS BUT NO LOGI PROMPT. IVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO SETUP A PASSWORD THAT NEEDS TO BE INPUT BLIND ONCE CONNECTED. IF TRUE HOW DO I CHANGE IT. I HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THE TERMINAL CONNECTED ON TTY 0.

If you see nothing when you hit 'enter' then your terminal settings or communications settings are wrong, or as you said, there is a password on the modem itself. If it is a traditional modem (like a Sportster for example) then the modem has no password capability.
The other possibility is the TTY port is simply disabled.
