remote outlook user unable to reply or forward over vpn

I have a remote user connecting with outlook via vpn connection over an AOL
dialup account. She can send and receive emails fine, however when she
tries to forward or reply she gets a "cannot contact exchange server"
message. What could be causing outlook to fail? She is running outlook
2000 on a windows 2000 pro system. We have exchange 5.5 in the office.

I've run into this 3 times in the last two days. If the message was received under one logon account and the user is currently logged on under a different account, reply and forward will fail because they are being sent with account credentials other than the user's current logon. Copying and pasting into a new message will work.

That's the thing, it's a remote user and she is only connecting with one user account. Is that what you mean by one logon account?
