one of my users on his new laptop picked up in office last week. logged into our domain fine in the office, and i set his profile to save locally on the laptop so he could logon with his domain credentials when his laptop is offline and out of the office. well, i was in his machine remotely today, and gave his domain account local admin priv, so he can install his printers and such, and i figured i would remove it once he is done. well, after i added that privledge, he rebooted the machine, now when he goes to login, it gives him an error stating that it cannot login b/c the domain or dc could not be located. what the heck? of course its not gonna locate it, but what about the cached info?

remote, offline, cached profile wont load on laptop..dc error

there was no roaming profile set on the network, which is why this is baffling me.(i didnt set a profile location in his ad user account), and i made sure that in "profiles" under my computer properties advanced tab, that his profile was set to local. I will have him login as local admin and change that setting tomorrow, any other ideas to try? i really hope his credentials are still cached.
