Is there any way I can configure the system to dial a pager or cell phone, as well as notify the alarm set on the system? I've never seen any mention in any documentation, and a feature like this would prove useful

Any input is appreciated.

Thank You.

I haven't heard of any way to do that.
Sorry. Anyone else? MRoberts

If you really feel energetic you can get the FastRad to report an alarm to a terminal/printer (assume a terminal program that can accept the report) then have the terminal that got the report e-mail it to a pager?

alternatively you could just use the "alarm reporting number 1" as a cell number, you would get a dead air call but the callid would show what called. JerryReeve

I have done this before, it was time consuming. I had a system that needed to be monitored quite thoroughly.

I had the RAD call alarm notification to a PC with hyperterminal running in my office. During the day we would see the alarms, and get notification visually. I had the PC set up to grab whatever text was on the hyperterminal, and e-mail it to my pager at 7:45am. I know it is not immediate, but atleast I had a heads up on any overnight problems. occasionally the e-mail contained garbage, but I considered that a mis-dialed number to the hyperterminal. It did work.
