Hi,

We have a Merlin Magix Rel 1.5 v6.0 with a 3rd party voicemail integration.

I'm wondering if there is any way to activate/deactivate the Night Service using the WinSPM (v9)? On rare occasions (weather or other unscheduled closures), it would be helpful to activate the Night Service for closed greeting.

I do have remote access to my PC and therefore could access WinSPM. I've tried changing the schedule, but isn't a wonderful method and haven't been too successful. The Night Service is the weak link in the equation for handling these cases. Thank you.

Let me get this straight, you are not on site and you wish to activate a TEMPORARILY CLOSED GREETING 'cause no one can get to work due to floods or snow or something?

Is that what you want to do?

Exactly. :) The reality is that the auto attendant will pick up after a number of rings. However, with operator covers the number of rings is longer than necessary if we're not even open.

With the Night Service enabled, the auto attendant picks up immediately.

Do you have AA tied to the MAIN OPERATOR or the LINES into a seperate calling group with OVERFLOW?

I believe that it is tied in with the main operator.

via SPM....if you had a dedicated remote access...you can
go to the NS menu and setup turn on & off times for that day. see how that works..

Thanks HiDesert. The NS schedule is one I've tried, but was hoping there was an easier method.

well, have you tried..creating a phantom sta with the lines
tied to it via the Principal User feature....it keeps you
away from the AA and NS...and you also can sets the rings
to whatever suits the customer...just a thought!!!
