Big Lucy needs help again, what is the best (and or cheapest) way of remote monitoring? I have SX2000 in every state but Alaska and would like to be told when there is a alarm. This would save alot of unnecessary dialups to check for alarms. I have Criticle Eyes at most sites, and Mitel for 1 year had the monitoring set up through them. I have been told that it's quite expensive to setup the C.E.'s for remote monitoring.
As always your help is appreciated,
BL

do you use ops man?...if so you can use alarm audit for alarms from a single point....or if im thinking right the 7100 trackers can alert you to site alarms......dont quote me on that 1

upgrade to the sx200icp it has all the bells and whistles and will email you with any alarms or u can log in through telnet and look at them. sorry thats all i can think of but its not that cheap. especially since you have one in every state.

Lucy,

These switches have dry contacts for alarms available through a DB9-type connector on the back of the cabinet, it should be fairly trivial to attach some sort of dialer/pager and have your sleep disturbed. See Mike Sandman's web site for relays, doo-dads, etc.:
