Hello,
I have a NOKIA IP110 with firewall-1 4.1SP2 installed on it. I don't think there are any other modules installed on it. It is conected to a DSL modem and I finally managed to get the whole damm thing to work. I had to purchase additional IP addresses to allow incoming services to access certain machines on my internal network. This was a big surprise for me. My previous firewall allowed me to open ports and point them to a machine on my internal network. Anyway, the next thing to configure is "Remote management". I live in Town "A" and people in Town"B" would like to manage my firewall.
I plan on simply adding their public IPaddress as a valid GUI client by running the FWCONFIG command. Then I think that I need to create a rule in the security policy that permits any service from Town "B" IPaddress to be allowed in.
Am I dreaming, or will I have to purchase another software module/package to allow remote management of my firewall?
The last time I played with the underlying IPSO stuff, I wrecked it and it took me 2 days to get it to work again.
I also read the following article from the checkpoint site:
SOLUTION ID: 55.0.15075718.2909125
I'm wandering what the catch is.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
