Error Message :-
"Session terminated. Operation disabled for the new user logged into target machine."
We have a standard desktop implemented across the board to lock down users workstations. OS is Win XP and the novell client is 4.90.0.0 SP1a.
We use remote management to administer workstations. Sometimes it is nesseccary to log a user off and then login as the local administrator during the remote session in order to carry out admin tasks.
For the majority of the time this works without any problems. However, certain workstations will terminate the session after logging in as local admin as soon as the desktop appears. The end user is then left logged into their workstation as local administrator. We cannot establish another remote session until the user has logged off as local admin and logged back in as themselves. This only occurs on certain machines and is baffling as all workstations have exactly the same build. Not what we want when a locked down standard desktop is trying to be enforced.
Help please, anything at all - desperate times...
