Does anybody know how to setup or a article on setting up remote management of this product? We have a t1 connection to the data center and would like to review and admin the backup from remote office.

what is TS? Sorry maybe i missed that one somewhere in my training, could you spell it out for us management.thanks

Terminal services running in Remote Administration mode allows you to logon to the server and perform tasks as if you were logged on locally. It is a component of Windows 2000 and can be installed through Add/Remove Programs - Windows components.

You could install and use this or you could simply install the Management console for ArcServe on your PC. You can select the server you wish to monitor from here.

AS2000 requires a patch to be compliant with Terminal Services.
Alternatively, you can install the AS2000 MANAGER on your workstation than you can connect to your remote AS2000 server by typing the server name in address bar of each of the managers you are using.
cheers

what about if we are using a nt 4.0 box?

Then you can install the ARCserve Manager on your remote system as mentioned above and connect to the ARCserve Server.

"File" > "Select Server"

I hope this helps.
