Hi all

I have installed Docsearch an all will work properly.
I wont now to do a Remote man Call to my CWS System.
We have 20 SP-Nodes and dont wont install the Manpages on each System.
Where i can Configure this ?

AM I right in saying that docsearch allows you to search for info using the web browser ?
if so , basically you have on your CWS installed it as the web server with a URL like listening on port 80 by default
on the client you will have to install client software and
point default webbrowser to Os when they fireoff docsearch the web browser should fire up on their PC and way you go ?
I think the remote client users should have capability of
firing off a web browser like netscape ? i.e. have exceed, or graphical terminal?

see the following link for more details :-

However , if you want users to access man pages text base you can use automount , if you need to know how to do this let me know

Hi

I said the Docsearch will work porperly.
We dont use automount in our Environment !
I know that it gives a Configuration, that allows Remote man Search.

On your Doc Server you have to have a browser installed, httpdlite will work too, and then under smitty-system environments-internet and documentation services you set your Doc server up, and clients are setup under the same panels. On the clients in /etc/environments:
DOCUMENT_SERVER_MACHINE_NAME=set_it
DOCUMENT_SERVER_PORT=set_it
CGI_DIRECTORY=/var/docsearch/cgi-bin
DOCUMENT_DIRECTORY=/usr/docsearch/html
