While dialing remotely into a BCM, with correct passwords and settings, the PPP on this one particular system is requiring a domain name. This unit is not connected to any computer network. I cannot proceed unless I have provide a domain name. Trying to trick the system does no good. Anybody have this problem before and can share their solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Soop

Things that might help:

1. Try to use the BCMs hostname as domain name when dialing into the system.

2. Check dial-up settings on your pc. Maybe "Use domain logon" or somethin like that is checked.

3. Change the workgroup name of the BCM

Without FQDN you would use the IP address of the BCM on your dial-up connection, it is under your user name and password screen depending on OS.
