Apologies to begin with.. I accidentally "Hijacked" this post onto the end of "lagg's" post on remote access...thinking that I was starting a new thread. If an administrator will remove the post in that location please..?

I need to be able to access an office VPN for file access and e-mail with a laptop. The laptop is capable of accessing the office network wirelessly over an existing VPN, but I'm wanting to make the connection over my home broadband connection through a Linksys BEFSR41 V3 router. There is no wireless port on that router. Is it possible to enable that VPN access over my wired router, and if so what settings do I need to make in the router to allow the VPN to pass through? With an ethernet connection, the internet is available, but the VPN will not connect

You would have to set up a VPN tunnel between both locations. To do this you will need a static IP at both sites for it to work correctly and matching VPN routers. Also looking at your routers specs it didn't mention VPN tunneling so you might need another router. If so I recomend Netgear FVS318, I have used these and they work great and easy to set up and not costly.
