We have a 2000IPS DML that we currently use IP Phones on the Local LAN. We want to use 2 IP DTerms at a remote site.

My network person is asking what is the best protocol to use for QOS and which port we are using for the streaming. Can anyone help. I chacked programming in Cm OB and with the exception of the IP settings, everything is default.

Thanks in advance!

Is the voice IP network seperate from the data? What Manf network switch are you using? is the remote connection a point to point or a VPN through the internet? The answer will vary depending on the answers to these questions. If the voice and data are on one connection then dont use port based QOS as it will give priority to both devices defeating the QOS. Cisco will allow you to QOS the Packet for VoIP by analyzing the packet header. If the connection is point to point you are able to admin the QOS. If it is a VPN then you cant force QOS on the internet.
