Currently, I have internet access through DSL at SWBell on a network platform. However, I have a laptop that I would like to use remotely (business, vactions, other places). What do I need to do or subscribe to to get remote access to the Internet and email? And how do I know if I can use it on other lines(like, does a laptop connection at a remote cite(other than home) need to a have a server connection or will the lap top have, like, say Aol IP address stored and ready to go on the laptop itself)?

Thanks a bunch

If you are asking if you can use DSL access remotely then the answer is no. You will only be able to use a dial-up service remotely.

For internet access you can use one of SWBell's dial up numbers to gain remote access using your modem and a DUN connection. As far as mail that kind of depends on which ISP provider you are trying to reach to access your mail.

If AOL is the ISP for your mail your best bet is to use AOL's dial up service to access your account. joegz
