I've enabled remote forwarding for a Single Line (Analog, T\R) extension. This is a "016 TRR" (617F34) module. System Programming is good to go; the remote forwarding works great. My problem is with inserting pauses into the "Forward To:" definition.

On a TDL extension this is quite simple... The Hold Button inserts the pauses.

However, with the 6221 (analog speakerphone) attached to this S\L port, I cannot figure out how to define the pauses.

There is a Pause Button on 6221's, but it is for the internal speed dial programming, not system programming.

My questions are...

1.) How can I insert the pauses from an analog terminal.

2.) Is there a way to program the "Forward To" definition via SPM (WinSPM)? I've only been able to do it with the 33 feature from the terminal itself... I can't find a way to do it administratively.

Assign an Authorization Code to the Single Line phone, then from a Multiline phone, dial #80-The Auth Code-#-*33-9-The Outside Telephone Number (using HOLD for the Pauses-#

As far as I know, you cannot use WinSPM to define the "forward to" phone number. But if you have remote access to the PBX, you can forward extensions from almost anywhere you happen to be. I've been able to immediately satisfy requests like this from my cell phone.

Use the Recall or Flash button to insert a 1½ second pause in the dial string (multiple pauses are allowed). This works for both 4400 and single-line analog sets. Specifically, the 6221 has a Flash button. For older 2500 type sets, use switchhook to insert the pause.

Thanks TouchToneTommy... I haven't done it yet, but I'm sure your Auth Code suggestion will do the trick. I had not even considered this approach.

I knew I could find an answer here... as I almost always do!!

I went ahead and "starred" your post since I'm confident this will do it.

Thanks-
Marc

The Auth Code suggestion did work.... thanks TouchToneTommy!

You're welcome - and thanks for reporting back!! It's good to know when a suggestion works.
