Remote extension off a MICS

Hi, we currently have a small mics system. We have hired support staff in other areas of the country and would like to tie them into the system. Before a incoming call goes to VM, everyone should have the opportunity to answer it. Long distance charges are becoming so inexpensive, it would be nice if we could utilize long distance instead of dedicated circuits, or do we wait for voip.

Any suggestion on how to proceed or where to look for more information.
