Apologize in advance if I ask simple questions, telecom engineer recently quit and I'm the only one left in the company with any knowledge of the phone system until they hire new.

I have been asked if call forwarding can be enabled/disabled if an agent is already off site. In researching this I found this post and followed the instructions but when I dial the DID I get the recorded message and then it asks for a PIN. No matter what I type it continues to ask for the PIN until it eventually disconnects the call. I thought it would ask for the extension before the PIN but I never get a prompt for the extension. I did find some older posts say that it wouldn't work without a "Timeout" and something in the PIN so I added a timeout message and a zero to the PIN.

System:
IP Office - 11.0.4.7.0 build 6
VM Pro - 11.0.4.7.0 build 3 running Intuity mode

Open the Start Point and the first Action, you will find the PIN (for the module, NOT for the extension) on the General tab in the Pin field. That is what VMPro is looking for.

Didn't work sir. Tried the number zero, the number two and 12. First picks up it asks for the PIN, I type in the PIN and I get the expected recording then it continues to ask for an access code. I even went back and added a 2 to the PIN of the Extension and CP0Key modules.

The Start Point action has a PIN of 2
The Extension action has a PIN of 2
The CP0Key action has a PIN of 2
The Personal Options action has a PIN of 2

Remove all of those PINs
You will then only be prompted for the extension number that you want to modify

If you want to password protect the module, pick a password, and put it in the PIN field of a single action, I suggest the first action after the Start Action.

May I suggest an alternate module for forwarding - it prompts for the extension number, tells you the current forwarding settings (on or off, and forwarding number), and gives you options to turn on, turn off, and change the number.

Direct it to the person options action. So much simpler. This is a standard system function. Doesn't take rocket science.

You might think I'm reinventing the wheel, but have you ever used the Personal Options menu to change the Forwarding parameters? Unless you have memorized the steps and can dial ahead, it is pure torture

@TTT your VM Pro must be different than mine. It just allows you to edit the FWD numbers and turn them on. Turn VM and DND on and off. and edit a few other VM settings. Are you using the Edit Personal Options Action under the Configuration Icon on the tool bar?

I am talking intuity. It was the default Avaya mode until they bought Alchemy. Partner... Legend... Magix... It was the standard until IPO. It goes back to the ATT days. Even has the same AA Anne voice across platforms. I didn't even know IPO VM Pro would do IP Office mode. But Americans are stupid and need to be led by the nose to set up a VM Box and use it.
This is the call flow. I think it is simpler. Collect the Ext number. Pass it as the $KEY in the action and done. Did it this way for 20 years. Pretty sure it works. You can add a pin on the menu action for security.

The Personal Options Menu action has a drop down for "Play Configuration Menu (Legacy)" and "Personal Options Menu" - both for Intuity mode. If you use the Legacy mode, you can administer fewer options, but perhaps that is good.
