I'm trying to configure a digital set so that when setA (the far end) disconnects, the prime appearance on setB goes dark. Make the assumption in this scenario that setA called setB by first going off-hook and not using the speaker key (for either set). I'm trying to trigger a program to know when the far end drops without looking at the display or hearing the tones in setB.

Thanks Belevedere. I'm close with your help here. I tried to set the value to 0x1D (previously was 0x19). What I see is that I can force the lamp on the dropper to change, but not on the receiver of the drop. If I use the speaker key to go off-hook, I get remote disconnect (i.e. the receiver of the drop will also go dark). This does not happen when I use the handset to go off-hook. Am I mis-interpreting the docs as far as first/second party, or am I not converting my binary bits properly? It seems like I'm close here. Thanks.

ASYD SYS 1 INDEX 4 is usually set to 08 for first party release. You can also try 0C for both party release.

Thanks guys, I tried both 08 and 0C and neither made a change on the receive side. I also both enabled all and disabled all settings for SFI 136 with no luck. Any other thoughts?

So if I use the speaker button to call/answer and have ASYD Index 4 set to 0x08, I get the disconnects immediately in both directions. Thanks for all your help here!
