Hi

Can anyone tell me how to establish dial-up connectivity to a BCM200/400 without using an external modem? Can I connect in this way via a BRI/PRI channel already connected to the system as in the case of a BCM50?

The 50 has a built in modem just program it and your good.Assign a DID to it.

The 200/400/1000 all have modems built in, you can use an ASM and plug it into the modem or connect a trunk to it.

What version of bcm have you got?

You can program the data module on the bcm with a target line with a DDI on it so you can dial in with a ISDN modem. You will need to change how many WAN ports your system has via the MSC current config page from 0 to 2 then make that the current conf.

You will also need to reboot the system after changing the Wan port config. Also you need to create a remote access user.
