Remote Desktop WXP

Whilst trying to connect using an ISDN line to a remote PC using the Remote Desktop utility, I sometimes get the following message:

Remote Desktop Disconnected:
The client could not connect. You are already connected to the console of this computer. A new console session cannot be established.

The last time it happened was after the ISDN line was lost before I got to log out. Does anyone know a way around this please?
