I'm trying to set up a mac where people can remotely view 'but not touch'. A graphic designer wants to allow clients to log on to their machine and see what they are doing BUT not be allowed to make changes.
With VineVNC I can disable remote mouse control, but it also removes the remote view of the mouse which is disconcerting for the viewer. In Apple remote desktop I cant seem to make the program obey any restrictions, what ever is ticked or unticked seems to allow the remote user full control.
Any one any ideas of how I do this? Needs to work from PC and MAC (if it was easy, I wouldn't need your help!)
Thanks in advance
James

Have a look at webex you can set up a session so that many users can view a single desktop but not control. we use it for training courses etc.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Hi bigle, just seen your reply - thanks, I'll take a look. I've found that the entiprise version of realvnc does the trick, so I'll run a back to back test and see which one wins.
Thanks and all the best
James
