Hello all...

Our TS server is getting low on C: drive disk space, and i could recover a nice amount of space if i remove the profiles and stick them elsewhere. been testing this with my account by setting a network share as the profile path in my user account TS settings in AD. here's where i am stumped. on w2k machines that i remote desktop into, the profile on the network share is loaded...on w2k3 machines, a local profile is either used or created. can any one shed light on this for me? its greatly appreciated

thanks

I would suggest using roaming profiles and you can set the path to where your profile is located withn your user account.

I hope you find this post helpful.

thanks for the response. before i dive into the roaming profiles, i am still confused as to why in the terminal services profile tab on my user account, the settings i set there will only apply / work with w2k servers. is there any special server side settings i need to do for w2k3 servers that i am remote desktopping into?

yea, i read that thing....was hoping to do a non-gp test run for just me with that TS tab in my user account. why the heck is that tab there if its no good ya know?

good luck...

I hope you find this post helpful.
