I can't quite get my head around this. The problem is poor connectivity between servers when using remote desktop over a VPN but fine when over a LAN. This has only just started happening.
I have a terminal server windows 2003, on this we run a Pegasus Opera client from another 2003 server both connected to the same gigabit switch.
If I remote desktop on the LAN to the terminal server and ping the Opera Server no problem. If I remote desktop to the terminal server on a VPN and ping the Opera Server it times out every few pings. The opera client runs fine when connected via remote desktop on the LAN but not VPN.
This doesn't make sense where I connect from or even how fast the connection is on remote desktop as the 2 servers sit on the same switch, the same connectivity. Any ideas very welcomne?
