So the new company is pretty strict on what we surf from our work computers. I want to remote desktop into my machine at home.

I have a SWbell ADSL with dynamic IP's. I have no problem checking the IP every morning before going to work to connect back. I set up remote desktop on the machine and router at home, but I'm only getting into the router. I can't access the machine. What am I missing?

forward TCP ports 3389 to your computers static internal IP

eg:

TCP/IP 3389 192.168.0.5

if you jave done that, is your companies firewall blocking these ports?

I meant to say: forward these ports on your home router

I prefer LOGMEIN
it's free and gets round some router config and some firewalls

Thanks. Actually figured that out when I got home that night. I found that tab on my router under gaming and forwarded the port to my IP. Been good to go ever since.....
