OK, I can connect via Remote Desktop to a Server 2003 and get the console view, by using "mstsc /console". But the problem is I have several 2000 servers that I want to be able to connect to the console from a Win XP Pro machine, so I don't have to go into work at night or go into the computer room during the day.

Any thoughts or ideas on doing this?

Windows 2000 does not have the ability to use RDP in order to open a console connection. If you need this ability you will need to install a remote control app like PCAnywhere, Dameware, VNC etc.

Not the reply I was hoping for but it it is the reply I was expecting...

Thanks!!

just confirming what itsp1965 said - 2000 does not have the console ability that 2003 does.

Have you tried the shadow 0 option, only working when some one is loged on to the console.

regards,

Lucien

Dameware Mini Remote Control works great. Download a trial and give it a whirl. Works great for us, plus our support team uses it for remoting into the user machines when they need help with something.
