Hi

My company has a peer to peer network. My desktop has windows 98SE operating system. I would like to access this office computer from my home computer which has XP Professional system. Do I just need to install Remote Desktop software on windows 98?

How do I go about this?

Thanks,

WHAT would you like to access? Files? The desktop?

You could setup an FTP server on your office PC to access files.

You could install a VNC server on the office PC and a VNC viewer on your home PC - this would allow you to remotely take control, but the speed can be annoyingly slow.

I've not tried it...VNC offers a similar functionality.
A free VNC server and viewer can be downloaded from (under the GNU licence).

I have the remote desktop download. But I read on the net that you can access XP machines from other windows system but not the otherway round. Is this true?
