I have a server running under an admin account, call it "admin1".
If I use RDC on my laptop to connect remotely, and I log on with another admin account, say "admin2". Will this have any impact on the applications currently running under the "admin1" profile? thanks

in fact if admin1 was logged on locally, and you log on as admin1 remotely, you'll get a separate session anyway.

> impact
YES. You will be using additional server resources which WILL have an impact on the running applications of Admin1.

HOWEVER, you will not be able to "control" these apps in most circumstances.

Whilst I agree with lwcomputing's comments, there is a switch within RDC which will allow you to connect to the console (A.K.A. Locally logged on user)

for those situations use the start->run command to run mstsc /v:SERVERNAME /console
