Hi Guyz,
I have setup Remote Desktop Web Connection in a WinServer 2003 machine. PCs within my local network can connect using But Connection from the outside world using - the public ip address of my internet gateway is not successful.
I have enabled remoted desktop (port forwarding)on the router.

What should be wrong?

You may need to have NAT rules in place on your router. Those rules wil translate your public to private IP

On my network, there two routers:
1) A Linksys router for internet access for the entire network. In it,port (3389) is forwarded to 192.168.254.100.

2) CISCO router which is the interface between my network and the ISP.

On which of these two routers should NAT rule be defined?

I have seen this before - try it with uPNP turned on your router/firewall although this is probably against best security practices at least it may get you up and running.

Well if the Cisco has the public IP, is it just forwarding all traffic straight to the Linksys or is it doing more than that?
