Remote Desktop Connection - 2000 PC to XP PC

Hi Guys...........and girls!

I would like to set up a Windows 2000 Pro PC with a Remote Desktop Connection so that I can access it from my XP Pro PC downstairs. Is this possible in 2000?

Only XP has the native ability to use rdp, however, you can use 3rd party apps that will let you connect to your win2k box.

If you have a Windows XP OS disk you can install the Remote Desktop Connection software on the Windows 2000 PC. Check out this link

As noobtechie says - need 3rd party app - and laso agree vnc generally ok and free. IllogicallyLogical's link is to software to allow 2k machine to control an XP one - not vice versa.

Download the Remote Desktop from MS

Install it on W2K. You should then be able to do RDP both ways. You may have to install terminal services on W2K.
