Remote Desktop coneection problem

Hi i am having problems with RDC.

I have Compaq Evo N150
- Win XP with SP2
- recently reinstalled XP without formatting.
- i have forwarded port to my laptop from router.
- Remote access is enabled
- Remote access is allowed thru windows firewall
- running zone alarm
- terminal service is started-Automatic

now i still get "couldnt connect Remote desktop" error. Is there anything else i am missing? any other service need to be started?

please help i am really frustated

I just wanted to add that i have also tried connecting from same network, using IP...but it gives me same error so i think there is something wrong with my laptop settings..
