remote cube connection tuning

Hi
I have a 30meg cube which gives faster access if you connect locally. But it is slow when connected through remote connection. We are using cognos Enterprise server.
Does anybody has suggestions for tuning.

Ask your network admin to create different port connections for you to connect to if possible in your environment.
