What i am looking for is a device that will allow:

PBX IPE modules connected in one side and the house pairs connected on the other side and the ability to remotely move the TNs to different house pairs via a DACS type setup.

Has anyone seen this before for a PBX system.

Scenario:

I have a bad TN. I need to move the programming to another TN and then dial into this device and digitally move the old TN off the house pair and add the new TN.

Any help would be appreciated

When I worked for a LEC, we pursued installing a DACS frame in our largest central office. Essentially to replace the frame worker. If you've got a huge budget, it's possible. I think it also had the ability to split the circuits and 4tel test cable pairs. Not to be confused with a 1/0 or 3/1 DACS.

I would say if the TN of the phone is bad you would have to jumper the phone to a new TN and then you could move or copy the TN to the new TN

That is is what I want to do, but I want to be able to move that jumper electronically via a digital cross connect type system.

I've seen it for T1/E1 circuitry but not for PBX extensions.
The cross-point matrice requirements for the interconnection to building distribution wiring would be elaborate--n dimensional. Based on phone density within certain areas you could probably reach a point where a connection could not logically be established.

Multiplication of two matrices A.B
This product is defined only if A is a (l x m) matrix and B is a (m x n) matrix.
So the number of columns of A has to be equal to the number of rows of B.
The product C = A.B then is a (l x n) matrix.
The element of the ith row and the jth column of the product is found by multiplying the ith row of A by the jth column of B.

ci,j = sumk (ai,k.bk,j)

Eg.
300 IP pairs = matrix A or (300 X 300)
300 Phones = matix B (300 X 300)

Send a tech to change the x connect...

It would be cost prohibitive to wire every possible tn, riser and Jack connection to a Electronic crossconnect, but it could be done and they do sell them.
