is there a way to just remotely connect to another vista machine without locking out the user? I run a small shop and the owner does not want user intervention when calling the helpdesk. In other words, he just wants us to go in and "fix it" and all the user has to do is sit back (no clicking on links no setting up remote assistance). he feels that users have a hard enough time using notepad already. also, he does not care about privacy. Just looking to see if there is an RDP solution without having to buy any other third-party software (cheap-butt).
Thanks,

bm

Yes, but linney, this is the Vista forum...

It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!

Sorry "Davetoo", I get confused, swapping between forums.

I wonder whether it would work in Vista (using the XP termsrv.dll), but it is probably against the EULA in either operating system?
