remote connection

I have a windows server 2008 that I can not remote console to it. I have another server 2008 that I can. I compared the FW setting from the one I can to the one I can't and made the necessary changes. However, I still can not connect to it. This is what I get: "The specified remote computer could not be found. Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try connecting again". The server is joined in the domain, and has a static IP. Any help?

You set the firewall, but did you check to make sure remote connections are enabled? (maybe obvious, but we're being thorough.) Control Panel > System > advanced > Remote...

It could also be name resolution. Try using both the name and the IP address, and verify that the server can be pinged.

I believe I found the problem. Although I had mimic the settings from my working server, the non working server does not like the domain profile so I changed it to Home or work (Private) profile and now I can RDP console to it. Although is working I still want to ask, is this the proper setting. I mean, I am on a network and it seems proper to use the network profile.
